The patterns on this scanned transparency show a diagonal, geometric cross pattern embedded in dynamic, rounded artifacts. After so many years, I can no longer say which of Mr. Goecke’s organ pieces this transparency was associated with. The piece performed on the church organ was about Jesus’s Way of the Cross—his journey carrying the cross on his shoulders.

A small Korean town in the evening. Young people stand at the edges and in the corners of the image, their faces covered. A typical scene from the COVID-19 crisis in Asia, combined with a projection slide from Lent. The shapes and colors complement each other as if they were made for one another. This work was produced as a giclée print.
