Poseidons Gold 2017, Taschrenkunstvergrößerung feiner Kunstdruck auf einer grundierten 3mm starken Alu Dibond Tafel 70 x 120 cm
A pocket art, shrink-wrapped in a laminated pouch measuring 86mm x 54mm, became a representative unique print measuring 70 x 120 cm.
A little surprise from the "Liquid Gold" performance rehearsal, in which it wasn't really possible to produce gold, or at least golden, with the projector colors, awaited me years later when I laminated this piece of foil, photographed it and mounted the two on top of each other. This is the expression that I was trying to achieve with this sample and which simply would not materialize. It was due to the yellow color emulsions, which were far too delicate in their tint, so that they could not really correspond with the usual accentuations with purple/violet or darkened green tones. Only later I did find a way to change the viscosity of the yellow emulsions accordingly and now I be able to play with rich, dominant yellow tones.
The subject of Poseidon is far from exhausted. I am less concerned with the figure of the god and more with the capricious nature of the seas, to which anyone who has spent some time at sea can probably attribute their own consciousness. The sea also offers undreamt-of treasures, which all landlubbers may recognize from the fact that their attention is mainly drawn to the cosmos, the moon, Mars and other planets and solar systems and, what amazement, the exploration of the seas seems to take a back seat.
