“Pattern Recognition” is a series of short visual experiments.
The starting point in each case is a single image from an overhead projector performance. Two viewers—the artist and ChatGPT—interpret the same abstract structure independently of one another. Only then are the two perspectives compared.
The interpretations are not the product of pure invention. They are guided by the existing forms, light patterns, and colors of the original. Structures are highlighted, contrasts are intensified, and perceptions are made visible—not replaced.
There is no single correct solution.
Each interpretation is an invitation to discover something of your own within the same image.
For sometimes meaning does not arise from the image itself, but only in the viewer’s gaze.
