Rot MF-Foto 6x6 aus einer Performanceprobe mit eyperimentellen Farben, Köln 2007
In the first Livingroom, I experimented with color substances, among other things. If it weren’t for this photo, I would have completely forgotten about it. A Rhenania artist with connections to Bayer gave me some magenta-colored powder. I was supposed to heat it to 60 degrees and then add it to my color carrier soup. I did that and got this bright red color. There are many emulsions and liquids that allow the light from the projector to pass through and often have a completely different color than their projection.
I had tried it out, but couldn’t find a way to get other “color powders” from Bayer, nor did I know what this substance was called. However, this preheating is a significant disadvantage for spontaneous performances, which is probably why I didn’t pursue it seriously.
